Stereo Mastering – How does it work?
After speaking with us, upload your single .WAV or .zip file and send it to us via WeTransfer or a dropbox link.
All submissions for stereo mastering should be 24 Bit .WAV files. To check our current availability and turnaround times contact Bill via Bill@Peakhourartists.com
All Files MUST be labeled correctly (artist, track & mix name)
Your pre-masters should contain no clipping or peak limiting if at all possible.
When rendering pre-masters space should be left at the front and end of the file to ensure starts and ends haven’t been clipped. All files should be quality checked thoroughly prior to sending to mastering.
If processing has been applied purely for gain then it should be removed prior to your final renders. If compression or EQ has been applied during the writing / mixing stage and is integral to the mix then leave it on. If at all in doubt feel free to send 2 versions, one with bus processing and one without.
Invoice details (company name and address) should be sent in conjunction with the pre-masters.
When starting the work if there are any issues with the mix or problems with the pre-master we will contact you before undertaking the mastering.
On completion of the work an invoice will be sent. We cannot send out any masters to non account holders without receiving payment in full. On receipt of payment a link to your master will be sent.
The master will returned as a 16 Bit, 44.1 KHz Master .WAV file unless prior arrangement has been made.
Where necessary, 1 set of revisions is included in the price.

You can contact Bill via email or through the contact form to check our current availability and turnaround times. With initial contact please send an MP3 of your mix. We will contact you to let you know how to prepare the stems and what set of stems we want. At this stage we can also give an approximate cost for the job. This estimate will allow for 1 set of revisions to the mix, but not additional passes. Please stipulate at initial contact as to how many additional passes are required so that this can be factored into the quotation.
Our guidelines of how to make up the stems can be found on our “Services” page. These should be read thoroughly and understood prior to making up the stems.

What is your average turnaround?
On four tracks or less the standard time is up to 2 days , five tracks or more can take up to 5 days.
The standard time for Stem mixes is up to one week
How do I get my masters?
If a CD for production purposes is unnecessary a download link will be sent.
What format can you provide for physical masters?
Masters for CD manufacture can be provided as DDP masters or Red Book CDs.
DDP Masters are error corrected ISRC encoded (if needed) disks used to create glass masters for the mass production process. Red Book CD’s are much the same only they are NOT error corrected. DDP files can be sent as a downloadable file, or delivered as a physical medium. Red Books CD’s are only available in physical format.
